Our Story
Greg Fischer and his business partner were stuck at a stubborn $1M Direct Hire revenue ceiling, grinding out 60-hour workweeks.
Greg was the Salesperson, Account Manager, Recruitment Manager, and ran his own desk. A one-way train to burnout.
Hiring in the US was too expensive. There had to be a better way.
The solution: Offshore & Nearshore Hiring (or so they thought)
They prioritized low cost and convenience over quality — and paid for it. The first few hires bombed: low-performing and unreliable.
Eventually, they cracked the code by holding international hires to the same high bar as anyone else. They went all-in on Hiring, Training, and Performance Management.
Soon, 18 of their 38 team members lived internationally, handling sourcing, screening, prospecting, sales calls, and back-office support — high performers in every seat, from the Philippines to Latin America.
Within three years, revenue soared to $4.2M with $1.4M in net profit. That grueling schedule? Down to 35 hours a week.
Word got out. Staffing Agencies and Recruitment Firms wanted the blueprint.
Greg delivered — and Well Oiled Machine was born.

Greg Fischer
After a decade of living in Los Angeles, Greg felt like a Pine Tree in Palm Beach: out of place. In 2022 he joined the Californian exodus to Colorado (very late to the party) and hasn’t looked back.
He now lives in Evergreen, CO with his 4-legged sidekick, Willow, and when he isn’t whipping-up offshore solutions, typically cannot be found. That’s because he’s as far from digital devices as he can be: climbing up a mountain, snowboarding, at a music festival, or writing in the woods.

Now I recruit recruiters at Well-Oiled Machine, where finding the right person for the right client at the right moment feels like a complex, intricate puzzle - a chase I genuinely enjoy, even as I’m impatiently waiting for that tiny electric click when everything finally lines up.
My nomadic soul has been chasing the idea of 'home' for years - I've looked for it in a temple town in China, on a motorbike weaving through the chaos of Hanoi, and under the jacaranda trees in Guadalajara... still clueless, still hopeful, still collecting stories along the way.

I'm a Recruiter at Well Oiled Machine, helping high-performing recruiters across the Philippines and Latin America find internal roles within US-based recruitment agencies that actually value global talent.
I love the work we do in WOM because we educate clients on the quality of work that global recruiters can produce, and we’re able to place amazing hires who add so much value to their organizations. We also provide great opportunities to offshore talent, giving them growth and exposure to the kind of job that normally would be very difficult to find.
Outside of work, I’m always in search of a great cup of coffee preferably a nice blend or single origin beans with fancy latte art. I'm also an avid reader of genre fiction, and a salsa and bachata dancer.

As a Recruiter at Well Oiled Machine, I help clients find great people for their teams, from sourcing and outreach all the way through interviews and the hiring process. A big part of my job is getting to know both the candidate and the company well enough to figure out whether there’s a real fit, not just whether someone checks the boxes on paper.
What I love most about recruiting is the people side of it. I’m genuinely curious about people, what motivates them, what they’re good at, and what they’re looking for next. My background in psychology probably has a lot to do with that, and I love that recruiting lets me use that curiosity every day.
Outside of work, I’m Brazilian, based in São Paulo, and I’m completely obsessed with music and singing. I’m also the kind of person who can get really into a new topic and spend hours learning everything about it. I love swimming, good TV shows, and spending time with the people (and pets!) I love.

Commission
~$2,000-$3,000/month (10% of the your placement revenue)

Who we’re looking for
Experience: Minimum 2-years as a Recruiter (in any market)
Communication
Near-native level English (a BIG part of your job will be to assess the english skills of your candidates).
Sophisticated
You’ll regularly interact with our clients, who are high-level CEOs & Entrepreneurs.
Trustworthy
You do what you say.
People Reader
You create a picture in your mind of the exact human being our client is looking for, and can see in to your candidates’ souls. You KNOW who they are, and if they’re a fit.
